Gangotri Dham : Gangotri, the second holy site on the chardham Yatra is visited by hundred thousands of pilgrims by year. The 18th century temple was billed by Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa. There are lots of tales attached to these holy sites like the temple is near the spot where the goddess Ganga is said to have first descended on earth from heaven, in reply to the prayers of King Bhagirath. It is believed that Lord Shiva received Ganga into his locks to break the great force of her fall. From there it emerged into many streams and the one which started from Gangotri was called Bhagirathi. The Pandavas, it is said, came here to execute the great 'Deva Yajna' to atone for the death of their kinsmen in the epic battle of Mahabharata. Other tourist attraction besides the temple is Goumukh positioned at a distance of 18 kms from Gangotri. Pilgrims also trek to Nandanvan, Tapovan (6 km from Goumukh) and Kedartal (18 km) from Gangotri.

Kedarnath Dham : Kedarnath Dham, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, is a scenic site located against the backdrop of the magnificent Sri Kedarnath ji range. Kedar is one more name of Lord Shiva. According to legend, the Pandavas after having won over the Kauravas in the Kurukshetra war, felt guilty of having killed their own brothers and wanted the blessings of Lord Shiva for redemption here.

Badrinath Dham : The last holy site on this Yatra is Badrinath, one of the most revered Hindu shrines of India. Surrounded by an attractive valley, the Badrinath Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. May to October by year the temple generally remains open. Built by Adi Guru Shankaracharya the philosopher-saint of the 8th century, the temple has been renovated several times because damage by avalanches. Other attractions at this site are the Tapt Kund, where devotees take a holy dip in the natural thermal springs on the banks of the river Alaknanda, earlier than entering the Sri Badrinath ji Temple. The water of the Kund is believed to have medicinal properties.

Gangotri Kedarnath Badrinath Package Detailed Day Wise Itinerary - 8 Nights / 9 Days

  • Day : 1 Delhi to Haridwar (230 kms/6hrs).

    Drive to Haridwar by road, Lunch on the way. On entrance at Haridwar, check in at your hotel. The day is free for you to travel around Haridwar city on your own. Evening time go for Ganga Aarti at Har-Ki-Pauri. Dinner and Overnight stay at Haridwar hotel.

  • Day : 2 Haridwar to Uttarkashi (230kms / 8hr).

    Early in the daybreak after breakfast drive to Uttarkashi. Visit Chamba and Tehri Lake. Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

  • Day : 3 Uttarkashi to Gangotri to Uttarkashi (100kms / 3hr each side).

    Early in the daybreak after breakfast, drive for Gangotri. Visit on the way places such as Tapt Kund (Hot water spring) and Harsil Village. Visit Gangotri temple and later drive back to Uttarkashi. Overnight stay at hotel in Uttarkashi.

  • Day : 4 Uttarkashi to Rudraprayag (175kms / 6hr).

    Near the start daybreak, drive to Rudraprayag on the journey visit Tehri Dam. Check in Hotel, night stay.

  • Day : 5 Rudraprayag to Gaurikund to Kedarnath Gaurikund Rudraprayag. (76Kms drive and 20kms trek one way)

    In the daybreak after breakfast, drive for Gaurikund. Visit on the way destinations such as Guptkashi temple. Start your trek (By walk, horse, pony or dolly) to Kedarnath. Visit Kedarnath Temple Back to Gaurikund or Rudraprayag. Overnight stay at hotel in Rudraparayag.

  • Day : 6 Rudraprayag to Badrinath (165Kms / 4-5 Hrs drive).

    In the early hours morning, after breakfast, drive through beautiful forest to Badrinath. Visit on the way Narsingh temple and Shankracharaya Math in Joshimath. Visit Auli at your own Expanse. Evening visit Badrinath Temple. Overnight halt at Badrinath.

  • Day : 7 Badrinath - Rudraprayag (165Kms / 4-5 Hrs drive).

    Morning after breakfast visit Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund and the "Mukh" of the Saraswati River. Visit on the way destinations such as Karnprayag, Nandprayag, and Vishnuprayag. Overnight halt at Rudraprayag.

  • Day : 8 Rudraprayag to Haridwar (165kms / 7hr).

    Early in the morning, visit Rudraprayag. Later on, Drive back to Haridwar. Check in Hotel. Overnight stay.

  • Day : 9 Haridwar to Delhi(250kms / 7hr)).

    Daybreak, visit Hardwar local sightseeing. Later drive back to Delhi. On arrival at Delhi, transfer to Railway Station or Airport.
