Gangotri is one of the most well-liked visitor's marks in the Northern part of India. Its ideal locations between Kedarnath and Haridwar make it as an ideal stop over when one is visiting the different pilgrimage spots in the gorgeous state of Uttarakhand.
Gangotri is the Submerged Shivling that submerged in the holy Ganga River. This Shivling is supposed to be a natural one and is believed to be the spot where Lord Shiva Received Goddess Ganga from heaven and took her into his matted locks. The Shivling is visible throughout the winters when the water levels go down in the Ganges.
Royally situated in the Garhwal hills in Uttarakhand, Gangotri is the spot where one must trip at least one time in his lifetime. Positioned on the larger Himalayan range, it has an elevation of 3,048 m. It is the seat of Goddess Ganga and a main location of the Char Dham Yatra. Millions of devotees and travelers come here in search of salvation. This pilgrimage spot can be simply accessed in one day from Rishikesh, Haridwar or Dehradun. Here the summers are lovely and winters are too chilly. The Gangotri temple dedicated to the Goddess remains open from May to November.
If you are attracted to trekking, then no other site is more rewarding than this destination. Separately from enjoying a salubrious weather, picturesque attractiveness, you will also find amazing flora and fauna on your trek to Gangotri. The sight of blue mountain goat is a common sight here. One can take a walk through the attractive Gangotri town.
Additional attractions are Pandu Gufa. Also trip to the Bhagirath Shila, a small shrine where King Bhagirath meditated. It is believed that if you pray here for a son, your prayer will not go unanswered.
Drive to Haridwar by road, Lunch on the way. On entrance at Haridwar, check in at your hotel. The day is free for you to travel around Haridwar city on your own. Evening time go for Ganga Aarti at Har-Ki-Pauri. Dinner and Overnight stay at Haridwar hotel.
Early in the morning, after breakfast, drive towards Uttarkashi. And visit to Kashi Vishwnath temple and Prakateshwar Mahadev. And overnight halt at Uttarkashi.
Early in the morning, after breakfast, drive for Gangotri. And visit on the way spots such as Tap and Harshil Village. After that visit Gangotri temple and later on drive back to Uttarkashi. And overnight stay at Uttarkashi.
After early morning, after breakfast, drive to for Uttarkashi, on the way Tea or Coffee and Lunch at Chamba. Rest of the day will be at freedom. And overnight and dine stay at Haridwar.
Early morning after breakfast visit nearby places like Daksh Temple, Shri Yantra Temple, and Maya Devi Temple. Afterward drive towards Delhi. And evening dropping at Delhi.
